Optimize positions

When you have multiple subwoofers, the optimum position for each one is dependent on the positions of the others, so to find the best overall result you need to try different combinations of subwoofer positions. However, as the number of zones and subwoofers increase, there are exponentially more combinations to try, so it can be difficult to manually find the best combination of positions. To solve this, we have included a feature to automatically find the best combination of positions.

Firstly, select the zones you would like to consider as potential subwoofer positions by clicking on the map. Then press the start button to begin the optimization process. Depending on the number of zones you select, this may take a few minutes to complete.

You will be presented with the top 10 results, sorted by the maximum sigma value across all listening positions. Selecting a result will show you the subwoofer positions on the map. Once you are happy with your selection, press the save button which will return you to the subwoofer zones screen with your chosen subwoofer positions.
